Getting Ready To Leave

Well, the tickets have been purchased, the major vaccination shots have been taken, and the traditional Bon Voyage dinner party at the Fox residence has been given (great brisket and macaroni mom!). In two weeks time I quit my job after about 19 months of life in Washington DC, and set off on the journey of a lifetime with none other than one of my oldest and bestest friends in the world, Scott Patrick Lee. Wish us luck, and expect a postcard if you provide an address.

The itinerary is extensive, and leads me through roughly 20 countries in 6 months. The main hub city stops are as follows: NYC-->Hong Kong-->Bali-->Singapore-->overland to Bangkok-->Delhi--> Istanbul-->overland to Rome, possibly on to Morocco-->London-->Durban-->Home

The hardest thing will be leaving the comforts of home, particularly Irving Street and Mount Pleasant, but it's nice to know that many of my friends will still be there when we return.
